Hukum Bersuci Bagi Pekerja Di Loji Kumbahan

Keputusan: 

Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam Malaysia Kali Ke-82 yang bersidang pada 5 - 7 Mei 2008 telah membincangkan Hukum Bersuci Bagi Pekerja Di Loji Kumbahan. Muzakarah telah memutuskan bahawa orang-orang Islam yang bekerja di loji kumbahan sekiranya diyakini waktu atau tempoh bekerja tidak akan melebihi waktu solat, maka kaedah pelaksanaan solat hendaklah dilakukan seperti biasa setelah bersuci yang ditetapkan oleh syarak seperti berikut:

  1. menghilangkan 'ain najis pada badan dan pakaian;
     
  2. membasuh dengan air yang suci sehingga peringkat yakin (hilang bau, warna dan rasa);
     
  3. bagi menyucikan najis mughallazah, selain daripada syarat (i) dan (ii) di atas, ia perlu dibasuh dengan tujuh kali air yang suci termasuk sekali air bercampur tanah.

Walau bagaimanapun sekiranya waktu atau tempoh bekerja tersebut menjangkau waktu solat dan timbul kesukaran untuk membersihkan diri sebelum melakukan solat, maka mereka diharuskan untuk menjama'kan solat berkenaan setelah sempurna bersuci mengikut kaedah-kaedah yang telah ditetapkan oleh syarak seperti di atas.

The Ruling on Purification for Workers of Sewage Plants

Decision:

The 82nd Muzakarah (Conference) of the Fatwa Committee of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Malaysia held on 5th-7th May 2008 has discussed the Ruling on Purification for Workers of Sewage Plants. The Conference decided that Muslims working in the sewage plants whose working hours do not exceed the time of prayer, then the prayer must be performed as usual after performing the purification stipulated by the Laws of Islam as follows:

1. Removing the matter (‘ain) of the impurities from the body and clothing;

2. Washing with clean water until confident that the odour, colour and taste (of the impurities) have been removed;

3. For severe impurities (najs al-mughallazah), apart from items (1) and (2) above, it must also be cleansed with clean water seven times one of which must be mixed with soil.
 
However, if their working hours exceed the time of prayer and there is difficulty in purifying their bodies in order to perform their prayers, it is allowed for them to combine (jama‘) the prayer after performing the purification according to the methods stipulated by the Laws of Islam as stated above.
