Hukum Meminta Orang Bukan Islam Sama-Sama Berdoa Mengikut Anutan Masing-Masing Dalam Satu Majlis Yang Dihadiri Oleh Penganut Pelbagai Agama

Keputusan: 

Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam Malaysia Kali Ke-74 yang bersidang pada 25 -27 Julai 2006 telah membincangkan Hukum Meminta Orang Bukan Islam Sama-Sama Berdoa Mengikut Anutan Masing-Masing Dalam Satu Majlis Yang Dihadiri Oleh Penganut Pelbagai Agama. Muzakarah telah memutuskan bahawa:

  1. Doa tergolong di dalam perkara ibadah kepada Allah SWT dan ia hendaklah dilakukan sebagai suatu acara yang tidak bertentangan dengan roh ibadah dan rasa tawaduk kepada Allah SWT kerana bagi orang Islam memohon dan mendoakan sesuatu hanya kepada Allah SWT sahaja.
     
  2. Oleh itu, Muzakarah memutuskan bahawa orang Islam tidak harus meminta atau mengarahkan orang bukan Islam berdoa mengikut agama mereka masing-masing. Walaubagaimanapun, jika mereka berdoa atau memohon sesuatu mengikut ajaran mereka dengan kehendak mereka sendiri tanpa diarahkan, perbuatan tersebut tidak dilarang.

The Ruling on Requesting Non-Muslims to Participate in Supplication (Du‘a) According to Their Beliefs in a Ceremony Attended by the Followers of Various Religions

Decision:

The 74th Muzakarah (Conference) of the Fatwa Committee of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Malaysia held on 25th-27th July 2006 has discussed the Ruling on Requesting Non-Muslims to Participate in Supplication (Du‘a) According to Their Beliefs in a Ceremony Attended by the Followers of Various Religions. The Conference decided that:
 
1. Supplication is part of the worship of Allah SWT. It must be performed in conformance with the spirit of worship and humility to Allah SWT as Muslims can only seek the assistance and supplicate solely to Allah SWT.
 
2. As such, The Conference decided that Muslims should not request or command Non-Muslims to supplicate according to their respective religions. Nonetheless, if the Non-Muslims supplicate according to their religions voluntarily and not because of following any command, their action is then not prohibited.
