Penamaan Saudara Baru

Keputusan: 

Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam Malaysia Kali Ke-1 yang bersidang pada 28 - 29 Jan 1981 telah membincangkan Penamaan Saudara Baru. Muzakarah telah memutuskan bahawa Bagi Saudara Baru (muallaf) nama mereka hendaklah nama Islam mendahului nama asalnya, misalnya Ahmad Chong Ah Kaw.

Naming Newly Converted Muslim

Decision:

The 1st Muzakarah (Conference) of the Fatwa Committee National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs Malaysia held on 28-29th January 1981 has discussed on naming newly converted Muslim. The Committee has decided that for a new converted Muslim (muallaf), his new Muslim name should be at the front of his previous name, for example, Ahmad Chong Ah Kaw.
